The history of this product is very personal. The designer Ole Jensen washed his very fragile china cups when he realized that he took a risk by posing them directly on his stainless steel sink. He thus thought of a bowl that would be able to take the shape of the object and to protect it from breaking. He thus drew the “washing-up bowl and brush”, made of colored rubber. That gives a poetic aspect to a repetitive task. Award: International Plus Award.

He studied at the School of Art of Kolding in Denmark. He takes as a starting point the intimacy and the daily reality which surround him. When he is in the kitchen, he can suddenly think why there is not this object which can make this or that. Then in his design process, everything is important no more no less. That's what lead him to create the flexible red washing-up bowl and the brush.
